What kinds of grass

Article 2What kinds of grass

While setting up the lawn the most important thing to consider is the type of grass you’ll go for. Not every grass is suitable for everyplace because every grass requires certain temperature and environment to grow. Grass types are divided into 3 regions where soil and climate conditions are different:

1. Northern Region
2. Southern Region
3. Transition Region

The northern region grows cool season grasses which are as following:

• Bent grass
• Bluegrass
• Perennial Ryegrass
• Fine Fescue
• Tall Fescue

Fall and Spring are the best seasons for the above-mentioned grasses to grow as they comparatively stay green and grows healthier in such atmosphere, whereas in summer their health tends to be declined. If they are seeded in the cold climate they flourish in their best form and results into a fine textured lawn.

The southern region grows warm season grasses which are mentioned below:

• Bahia
• Bermuda
• Centipede
• St. Augustine
• Zoysia

The above-mentioned grass types grow aggressively and bonds strongly with the soil if they are grown in the hot climate and are exposed to the sun. These grasses are heat tolerant and may also grow well if there is less water. These types are mostly tough and low-maintenance.

Transitional Regions requires the blend of both cool and warm season grass but prefer cool season grasses over the other one.

We provide all the above-mentioned types and all the guidance you may require while seeding the grass in your lawn.
